Job Description

Cut, bend, and install steel reinforcement bars (rebar) for concrete structures according to project specifications
Read and interpret structural drawings and blueprints to ensure correct placement of steel
Secure rebar in place using ties, supports, and other fastening methods
Collaborate with construction supervisors and masons to ensure proper structural integrity
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Inspect steel work for quality and compliance with building codes
Mentor junior steel fixers or helpers when necessary

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in steel fixing preferred
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in steel fixing or construction work, preferably in the Gulf region
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of steel bar cutting, bending, and installation techniques
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Use of hand tools and rebar tying tools
Soft Skills:
Attention to detail and precision
Physical stamina to work on construction sites
Teamwork and communication skills
Problem-solving skills for on-site challenges
